Mumbai:
Will Smith and the Bachchans seem to have a connection. After the African-American star expressed his desire to work with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan in Hitch, which she couldn't manage, it's now husband Abhishek's turn to run into him.
Junior Bachchan has beaten Smith's world record for a film actor attending a maximum number of media events in one day for the promotion of a film.
Smith had participated at three media events in 24 hours for the promotion of I, Robot. While, Bachchan managed to pack in seven for Rakeysh Omprakash Mehra's Delhi 6, thereby making it to the Guinness Book of World Records.
Friend and actress Preity Zinta will be presenting Bachchan with the certificate. "It feels good to be representing the country on any platform. It feels even better to have entered the Guinness Book for something so different.
Have I really beaten Will Smith's record? I remember it wasn't easy. I didn't know whose record I was beating. But we were determined to make it through the maximum number of events that day two years ago, and we did," said Bachchan. The Guinness Book representatives had followed the actor through the record-breaking day in January 2009.
