Actor Abhishek Bachchan has becomethe first Indian male celebrity to receive the made-to-orderTramezza shoes from an well known Italian luxury brand.
Abhishek left for Florence yesterday to be at PalazzoSpini Feroni, Salvatore Ferragamo's historic Florentineheadquarters as part of the Florentine label's Shoes for aStar project.
Abhishek has been invited to Palazzo Spini Feroni for awelcome lunch with the Ferragamo family, followed by apersonalised tour of the Salvatore Ferragamo Museum,Abhishek's spokesperson said here.
In the course of his visit, Abhishek will experience therich heritage of Ferragamo and its shoemaking as he interactswith expert shoemakers who will measure his feet for woodenlasts, an essential part of the Ferragamo shoemaking process.He will also meet with Ferragamos renowned shoe designers whowill create a customised shoe for Abhishek.
The made-to-order Tramezza is a personalised, handmademens shoe featuring a stitched welting construction, theultimate shoe crafting technique with the customer selectingthe materials, colours and styles.
Abhishek will also be among the elite front-row guests topreview the Salvatore Ferragamo Autumn Winter 2011 Menscollection during Milan Fashion Week tomorrow. CreativeDesigner Massimiliano Giornetti will meet Abhishek backstageand the two will discuss fashion trends and seasonalhighlights, the actor's spokesperson said.
