In a friendly nudge to filmmakerKaran Johar, the actor duo of Riteish Deshmukh and AbhishekBachchan today took to Twitter to reveal how their respectiveroles were 'chopped' in the two blockbusters directed by him.
"@juniorbachchan I was there in KANK too but @kjohar25thought I was best suited for the deleted scenes in theSPECIAL DVD edition (sic)," Riteish tweeted recalling how hisoriginal cameo in the 2006 romantic drama Kabhi Alvida NaKehna was done away in the finished version.
Actors Shahrukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan, RaniMukherjee and Preity Zinta had played lead roles in theblockbuster.
Finding a buddy in Ritesh, Abhishek Bachchan narrateda similar experience involving Johar.
"@Riteishd @kjohar25 haha bro. He did the same thingto me in K3G. Gotta get our revenge!!!! (sic)."
Abhishek's guest appearance was removed from theedited version of Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham.
Produced by Dharma Productions and directed by Johar,the 2001 superhit cast Amitabh Bachchan, Jaya Bachchan,Shahrukh Khan, Kajol, Hrithik Roshan and Kareena Kapoor in thelead roles.

Saying September 5 has a special significance in hiscareer, Abhishek tweeted, "Today, 7 yrs ago... 05/09/04 I gavemy first shot for a film with @SrBachchan for @RGVzoominSARKAR. Now you don't forget a day like that!!! Now that Ithink of it, the 5th of Sept is quite a significant date forme (sic)".
"Dhoom was declared my 1st hit on 5th sept. And...onthe same day @kjohar25 offered me Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna.Allowing me to cancel out working with him from my bucketlist!," he said.
