"Good morning everyone. Thank you so much for all the wishes for Aishwarya on her godh bharai. Read out some of your messages to her," tweeted the actor who is busy wrapping up Players.

It was back to work for Abhishek after yesterday's ceremony. "So after a day filled with tradition, Indian customs and LADIES It's back to work. Gotta start PLAYING again for PLAYERS!"

The Bachchan baby is due in November and Jaya Bachchan hosted a grand baby shower for daughter-in-law Aishwarya. Bollywood ladies - star wives, veteran actors, young actors, designers and choreographers - landed at Jalsa, one of the Bachchan homes in Juhu. Among them were Saira Banu, Asha Parekh, Dimple Kapadia, Neeta Lulla and Shaina NC.

Aishwarya reportedly wore a traditional outfit in orange and was dolled up by make-up whiz Mickey Contractor. "Aishwarya was looking like a chand ka tukda. She was looking beautiful. We wish Abhishek and Aishwarya all the best," Saira Banu, who gifted Aishwarya a gold coin, said.

Saroj Khan, who choreographed Aishwarya on chartbusters such as Nimbooda, Taal se taal mila and Barso re, shared some scenes from the ceremony.

"I have never seen so many celebrity women together. All the women went up to Aishwarya and blessed her. Jayaji received each guest personally and was very warm. Even her daughter, Shweta, gave personal attention to everyone. There were a lot of songs and celebration," said Saroj Khan.

The veteran choreographer praised Abhishek too who wore a white sherwani-style kurta. "Aishwarya looked pretty in orange. Her face had such a glow. She was decorated with mogra flowers. Even Abhishek looked extremely happy. God bless them both and may the child have a long life," she added.

Other guests included Urmila Matondkar, Twinkle Khanna, Sonali Bendre, Maanyata Dutt, Ritu Nanda, Neetu Kapoor, Neelam Kothari, Mana Shetty, Vaibhavi Merchant, Poonam Sinha, designer duo Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla and Karan Johar.
