Mumbai:
With big-budget films failing tocreate magic at the box office, actor Abhishek Bachchan, whohas two back-to-back releases - Game and Dum Maro Dum -in April, intends to break the trend.
Earlier this year, Priyanka Chopra starrer Saat KhoonMaaf and Akshay Kumar's Patiala House bombed at the boxoffice.
"It is always good to change the trend. It depends onfilm to film. Your budget should depend upon the kind of storyyou have. I have never understood when people say that theindustry is going through a bad phase because of box officecollection and then one film does well and we say that theindustry has bounced back," Abhishek said.
Directed by debutant director Abhinay Deo, Game, is amurder mystery which will be released on April 1. RohanSippy's Dum Maro Dum, an action thriller, hits cinema houseson April 22.
"We can't force you to see our films, we can just excite.Budgets do matter if it is insanely priced. There is no onehere to just make money... we are here to make a qualityfilm that everybody is proud of. I hope the films do well," hesaid.
Game is about four different people from differentcountries invited by a common acquaintance to a remotebeautiful secluded island. The four strangers have aninterconnecting factor - a woman.
Dum Maro Dum revolves around the lives of six Indianswho meet in Goa, and how their lives change forever aftergetting mixed up with drug mafia.
The 35-year-old actor ruled out the media reports thatthere are similarities between the two films.
"The only similarity in both the films is that I amthere in them, and April being the month of release. There isno other parallel thing at all. Game is a whodunit murdermystery and Dum Maro Dum an action thriller. So there isnothing similar. Both are different," Abhishek said.
Abhishek says he never plans about his films.
"Lot of times when you hear a script, it inspires you andone just does it. I have never worked on strategizing aparticular genre - like doing a comedy first then action thensomething else. It just happened that I am doing a murdermystery first and then action thriller," Abhishek said.
"Besides these two films, I have Dhoom 3 which wouldrelease by the end of next year. But before that there will bethree-four releases. These are all scripts that excited me andI am very happy to be part of them," the actor said.
