"Thank you all very much for your concern and messages. I'm fine, nothing serious. Just a small cut above my eye and a few stitches," the injured actor tweeted.
"Had a fall whilst filming a small action sequence in Jaipur. Have come back to Mumbai now and will resume work at the earliest," the actor explained.
The actor then thanked all his fans and friends for their wishes.
"Thank you again for all the get well soon messages. The (show) MUST and WILL go on. Lots of love and gratitude," the actor tweeted.
The actor, who is busy shooting for director Rohit Shetty's Bol Bachchan in Jaipur, had met with an accident while performing a stunt.
Apparently, he was dangling from a rickshaw when he slipped, fell and suffered a cut on his forehead. The cut turned out to be quite deep and required six stiches, as well. Abhishek has stalled the shoot for a while and has returned to Mumbai for further treatment.
Meanwhile, Golmaal trilogy director Rohit Shetty, who kickstarted his career with the Abhishek Bachchan, Ajay Devgn starrer Zameen, is busy denying that Bol Bachchan is a remake of the Hrishikesh Mukherjee classic, Gol Maal.
Apparently, Abhishek Bachchan is playing the role Amol Palekar did while Ajay Devgn takes over Utpal Dutt's character of Bhavani Shankar. The film also stars Asin Thotumkkal and Prachi Desai.
