The condition of veteranMalayalam actor Jagathy Sreekumar, undergoing treatment in aprivate hospital after he was seriously injured in a caraccident, is stable, doctors said.
A bulletin released by the Malabar Institute of MedicalSciences (MIMS) hospital here said "Sreekumar's condition isoverall stable".
"Sreekumar is slowly recovering from his injuries andsedation. All parameters such as heart, kidney and liverfunctioning are satisfactory. He is breathing on his own andkeeping up oxygenation helped by a ventilator," the bulletinsaid.
The 61-year-old actor, who was on his way to Kodagu inKarnataka to shoot for a Malayalam film Idavappathy, wasseriously injured when his car slammed into a road median atnearby Tenhipalam and overturned on March 10.
The injured driver of the car Anil Kumar, who was undertreatment at MIMS, has been shifted to room.
