Television actor Ronit Roy, who was arrested for rash and negligent driving after he was involved in an accident in Mumbai yesterday, was not drunk suggest preliminary police report.
A blood sample has been sent for a more detailed investigation and the medical report is expected in two weeks.
Mr Roy was granted bail against a surety of Rs 12,000.
The actor says he was on his way home from a Diwali party when he hit another car with his Mercedes.
Four people, including two women -- a mother and daughter -- were injured.
Both were in critical condition yesterday but are now stable.
The mother is still in ICU but her daughter has been moved to a general ward in Brahmakumari Hospital, Andheri.
"Ronit Roy was driving a Mercedes and hit a Wagon R, in which four passengers were injured," said Vilas Rathod, police inspector at Amboli police station.
"Suddenly we saw his car, and it hit our car so hard that our car turned turtle and my mother was thrown out," said Shena Jajera, one of the people injured in the accident.
Mr Roy has starred in serials like Kyunkii Saas Bhi Kabhi Bahu Thi, Bandini and Adaalat.
