National Award-winning actor Vikram's daughter Akshita has got engaged to Manu Ranjith, son of entrepreneur Ranganathan of Cavin Kare. Ranjith is also the great grandson of DMK head M Karunanidhi.
The low-key engagement took place on Sunday amid family and close friends of the couple. "It was a very private ceremony. The couple had known each other for a long time and got engaged with the consent of their parents. The wedding is scheduled to take place next year," a source told IANS.
Filmmaker S Shankar, who had worked with Vikram on two Tamil projects Anniyan and I, was also present on the occasion.
