Malayalam actress Kalpana and her director husband Anil have been granted a divorce by the Ernakulam family court. They filed the divorce petition a few days ago.
Rumours of a separation emerged a few months ago but were rubbished by Kalpana.
While Kalpana had no reason to offer for the divorce, Anil alleged that he had suffered from the very start of the marriage and accused Kalpana of trying to "malign his character."
But, according to latest reports, Anil is preparing to marry a Bangalore based Malayali woman.
