Though Bollywood actresses have often been romantically involved with their co-stars, some of them have found their partners from non-filmy backgrounds.
Blame it on good looks, long hours on the sets and the nature of work, the attraction between co-stars is, more often than not, too hot to handle. Many Bollywood actresses are prone to fall for actors or, at times, filmmakers. Even before they wrap up the shoot of their films, actors hit the headlines for their off-screen chemistry.
However, like there are exceptions to every rule, some actresses do not like mixing their personal and professional lives. Instead, they prefer to find love outside the industry.
Hitlist takes a look at Bollywood beauties who have looked beyond showbiz for that special someone.
The Humshakals actress has been seeing Delhi-based businessman Armaan Gujral for quite some time now. Esha, a Delhi girl herself, has known Armaan since her modelling days. Armaan is the son of architect Mohit and former model Feroze Gujral, both of whom are well known in the capital's social circles.
Anushka Sharma
Anushka Sharma recently found herself in the eye of a storm following her cricketer beau Virat Kohli's dismal performance in England. Cupid's arrow reportedly struck the couple while they were filming for a shampoo ad. The cricketer then became a frequent visitor to her Versova home. He is said to have even dropped in on the sets of her films - Bombay Velvet in Sri Lanka and NH10 in Rajasthan as well as Dil Dhadakne Do in Spain. Sources say that Anushka, too, stole time away from her shooting schedule, to be with Virat during the Indian team's tour of New Zealand and recently, in England.
After acting in two films - Dil Diya Hai (2006) and The Train (2007) - her career did not take off, but she apparently began a fresh innings with cricketer, Harbhajan Singh.
The two are said to have bonded after they featured as celebrity participants on the TV show, Ek Khiladi Ek Haseena, in 2008. The two have apparently been together for a while now, but are yet to take their relationship to the next level.
Ever since the Chashme Baddoor actress was spotted at Delhi's Siri Fort Sports Complex in April watching Danish badminton player Mathias Boe in action, it set tongues wagging about them being a couple.
Ileana D'Cruz
Andrew has done a cameo in Ileana's upcoming film, Happy Ending. The film's makers decided to cast Andrew Kneebone, since he was anyway present on the sets during the final leg of the film's shoot in Los Angeles.
