Singer Adnan Sami, on Friday, received his certificate of Indian citizenship from Minister of State for Home Kiren Rijiju here.
Mr Sami also thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Home Minister Rajnath Singh for granting him the Indian citizenship.
Mr Sami tweeted:
Lahore-born Adnan Sami had first arrived in India on March 13, 2001 on a visitor's visa with the validity of one year which was issued by the Indian High Commission in Islamabad. (Also Read: Adnan Sami is 'Thankful to the Indian Government' For Indian Citizenship)
His last Bollywood track was Bhar Do Jholi, which featured in Salman Khan's 2015 blockbuster Bajrangi Bhaijaan.
