Los Angeles:
Aerosmith frontman Steven Tyler says the band is planning to launch their comeback with a new album next year.
The group has been working on new material around 63-year-old Tyler's new job as a judge on TV talent contest American Idol, and he says the bandmates are on course to release a new album in March next year, reported Rolling Stones magazine.
"We're almost there. We're gonna spend another month in LA (working on tracks)," Tyler said.
The album will be the band's 14th studio effort and its first release since 2004's Honkin on Bobo.
Tyler briefly walked away from the band in 2009 to see help for an addiction issue. Co-founder Joe Perry initially planned to continue Aerosmith with a new frontman, but the rockers were able to sufficiently resolve their issues so they could work together again last year.
