Kit Harrington as Jon Snow in a still from Game of Thrones.
Los Angeles:
The moment which Game of Thrones fans were waiting for with bated breath has arrived. Jon Snow, who was brutally murdered on the last season of the HBO fantasy series, has been revived.
Jon Snow was resurrected by Melisandre on the second episode of season six of Game of Thrones, a revelation that caps months of worldwide speculation following his death at the hands of his Night's Watch brothers in last year's finale.
Actor Kit Harington, who plays the character on Game of Thrones, apologised for "lying" to his fans who had hoped for his resurrection, reported ew.com.
"I'd like to say sorry for lying to everyone. I'm glad that people were upset that he died. I think my biggest fear was that people were not going to care. Or it would just be, 'Fine, Jon Snow's dead," Mr Harington said.
"But it seems like people had a, similar to the Red Wedding episode, kind of grief about it. Which means something - I'm doing or the show is doing is right," he added.
The second episode of the sixth season of Game of Thrones titled Home will air on Tuesday in India.
