Los Angeles:
There is one person to whom the widely adored Jennifer Lawrence has not endeared herself to - actress Lindsay Lohan, who has advised the
American Hustle star to read poet Maya Angelou after Jennifer appeared to have dissed her on national TV.
In a tweet, Lindsay thanked her sister Aliana for springing to her defence and suggested that Jennifer Lawrence would benefit from Maya Angelou's work:
Jennifer recently referred to Lindsay's troubled past on
The Late Show with Stephen Colbert, where she said: "I get like, Lindsay Lohan-grade exhaustion, but without any drugs or alcohol. I'm always in bed early. I'm still tired."
Her comment did not go unnoticed by the Lohans. On Twitter, Lindsay's younger sister Aliana, who is a model, called Jennifer out:
Lindsay's mother Dina Lohan also told
etonline.com that she was "disappointed" with Jennifer.
"We love Jennifer Lawrence, we have always been fans of hers. It was all unfortunate that she used Lindsay as a reference of not showing up to set, and that whole bit. It was disappointing that she didn't have her peer's back. You shouldn't trash anyone, it was just surprising. My family sticks together," she said.
Jennifer Lawrence was recently seen in the final instalment of
The Hunger Games franchise, titled
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay, Part 2. Lindsay Lohan, star of hits such as
The Parent Trap and
Mean Girls, is seen on screen less and less these days. Her last major film was 2013's
The Canyons.
