Bollywood actress Aishwarya Rai Bachchan has reportedly signed filmmaker Sujoy Ghosh's next film opposite Saif Ali Khan. The film is based on a Japanese novel The Devotion Of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino.
Aishwarya, who was last seen in Guzaarish, had taken a sabbatical for her now three-year-old daughter Aaradhya. Nevertheless, the actress will make her comeback after a hiatus of five years with Sanjay Gupta's Jazbaa, in which she plays the role of a lawyer. Jazbaa also features Irrfan Khan, Shabana Azmi and Jackie Shroff.
The film's trailer will release on August 15 and the film is scheduled to release on October 9.
The Taal actress has further signed Mary Kom director Omung Kumar's next film, a biopic on Sarabjit Singh, who died in a Pakistani prison in 2013. Also, she will soon start working on Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil which features Ranbir Kapoor and Anushka Sharma.
Meanwhile, Sujoy Ghosh recently made headlines with his short film Ahalya which featured veteran actor Soumitra Chatterjee and Radhika Apte.
