Bollywood actor Ajay Devgn hasreunited with his frequent collaborator Prakash Jha in thedirector's upcoming Satyagraha and hopes the film does asgood as their previous ventures.
The 44-year-old actor and Jha have previously worked infilms like Raajneeti, Apaharan, Gangaajal and Dil KyaKare and this time the duo are back with a politicalthriller.
"I am happy that all the films that we have worked inhave been successful. I am very comfortable with him. Italmost feels like I am working in my home production as thereis not much difference between his and mine. I hopeSatyagraha also works with the audience," Ajay said.
The film, about the uprising of the middle class against acorrupt and unjust system, also stars Amitabh Bachchan, ArjunRampal, Manoj Bajpai, Kareena Kapoor and Amrita Rao.
Devgn plays the role of an activist-turned-politician inSatyagraha.
"My character Manav Raghvendra obviously has so manyshades in the character. He thinks like today's youth. Hetakes the right decisions at the right time but also commitscertain mistakes. He is very real and that is the beauty ofthe character," Ajay said.
The actor said that contrary to reports, his characterhas no similarity with Arvind Kejriwal.
"There is no similarity with Arvind Kejriwal. When we hadthe first narration of film, we never had in mind that this isAnna Hazare or this is Kejriwal. Films are reflection of thesociety. It is not a film on a particular person. It is afictitious film but whatever we have discussed in it is thetruth of the nation today," the actor said.
Jha also quipped that his film is not based on anyone andit is his story, his take on the present scenario of India.
"The film is primarily a story about a son and his fatherand how the remaining five characters get embroiled in theirpersonal life. I have shown everything that was required thatway," Jha said.
Satyagraha hits theatres this Friday.
