London:
R&B star Akon has hit back at a construction company boss who is suing him over an unpaid bill by filing a counter-suit alleging he was overcharged for poor workmanship.
Jay Poorak, who runs US based company Southern Electric, has sued the 38-year-old star over claims that he failed to settle a USD 51,000 bill for renovations on his Georgia mansion, Contactmusic reported.
However, Akon said that he won't be paying the tab as much of the work on his home was carried out without is permission and without a price agreement.
The singer is suing to regain some of the money he has already handed over and for damages amid allegations.
