New Delhi:
Ranveer Singh just doesn't get to use the Toilet in peace. Ranveer was previously spotted stealthily leaving Bhumi Pednekar's washroom and now, he knocks on the wrong Toilet door. In a new video, Ranveer actually returns to his PR duties for Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar's new film Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. "Pressure se mukt ho, apna manoranjan Toilet se karo," Ranveer tweeted along with the video. The hilarious video is actually proof that a lot can happen over Toilet. In the video, Ranveer appears to be in a bit of urgency but the Toilet is occupied. Soon Akshay comes out of the washroom to exclaim: "Toilet kO opening lag gayi!." And then, there's a hilarious impromptu dance gig.
The 49-year-old actor, who also shared the video, thanked Ranveer for bumping into him outside the Toilet. "Toilet ko opening lag gayi, thanks to you all and we can't control our happiness Big thank you Ranveer Singh for being the rockstar that you are," he wrote on Twitter.
Toilet: Ek Prem Katha opened to poor reviews but turned out to be a breath of fresh air at the box office, scoring over Rs 50 crore in three days. This is Akshay's one of the many ways to celebrate the 50 crores his film just scored at the box office. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha opened to Rs 13.10 crore, escalated with Rs 17.10 crore on Saturday and raked in a whopping Rs 21.25 crore on Sunday. The film is currently at Rs 51.45 crores and counting with an even better performance being expected on Independence Day.
Ahead of Akshay's video, Twinkle had already tweeted three cheers in typically Twinkle fashion. "So even the box office needed this Toilet eventually to break free from its constipation. Hit Hit Hooray," she tweeted. ROFL.
Meanwhile, this is how Ranveer had invaded the Toilet he wasn't meant to.
Before the film's arrival in theatres, celebrities like Alia Bhatt, Karan Johar, Arjun Kapoor, Varun Dhawan and Hrithik Roshan also contributed with their share of promotional push.
Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is Akshay Kumar's second film this after courtroom drama Jolly LLB2. Akshay will next be seen in Padman, to be produced by wife Twinkle Khanna's new production house Mrs Funnybones Movies. Meanwhile, Ranveer Singh is shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati, co-starring Deepika Padukone and Shahid Kapoor.
