Akshay Kumar and Ileana D'Cruz in a still from Tay Hai.
New Delhi:
Actor Akshay Kumar shared a new song titled Tay Hai from his new film Rustom on Wednesday and described it as a love ballad.
Akshay Kumar, 48, stars as naval commander Rustom Pavri, a fictionalised version of K M Nanavati who was tried and acquitted for the murder of his wife's lover, leading to the scrapping of India's jury system. Ileana D'Cruz plays the role of Rustom's wife Cynthia in the film.
Tay Hai is a romantic song which documents the love story between Rustom and Cynthia. Nobody watching this would imagine how swiftly the story is to turn into tragedy.
Sung by Ankit Tiwari, Tay Hai has lyrics by Manoj Muntashir.
Rustom, directed by Tinu Suresh Desai, is scheduled to release on August 12, when it will clash with Hrithik Roshan's Mohenjo Daro.
