Bollywood star Akshay Kumar, who is promoting his forthcoming film Singh Is Bliing, will pay homage to Bhagat Singh on his birth anniversary, on September 27. Bhagat Singh was one of the most influential revolutionaries of the Indian independence movement.
The martyr was born on September 28, 1907 and was hanged on March 23, 1931 along with Shivaram Rajguru and Sukhdev Thapar in Lahore prison.
Akshay, along with the team of Singh Is Bliing, which includes Lara Dutta, Amy Jackson and director Prabhu Deva will pay tribute to the "real Singh" at a charitable event titled Sadbhawna Diwas 2015 in New Delhi.
The event will be organised by Shaheed-E-Azam Bhagat Singh Foundation a unit of Shaheed Bhagat Singh Sewa Dal, read a statement.
This year, Akshay, whose film is releasing on October 2, will attend the event dressed as Raftaar Singh from the movie.
The rest of the Singh Is Bliing team too will pay their respects to Bhagat Singh amidst a gathering at the Yamuna Sports Complex Stadium.
