"It's a very different film for me. I have literally been nursing this project for several years now and I am glad the time has come for the film to go on the floors," Omung said in a statement.
According to media reports, Akshay Kumar will star in five roles in Five.
Bhushan Kumar and Sandeep Singh, who produced Omung's last film Sarbjit, are back together again for the psychological thriller.
