2025 is a year of a horde of debutants gracing the big screen. Raveena Tandon's daughter Rasha Thadani and Ajay Devgn's nephew Aaman Devgan are debuting in Azaad. Saif Ali Khan's son Ibrahim Ali Khan is debuting with Sarzameen, which is reportedly scheduled for this year too.
The latest member to join the newbie's club is Akshay Kumar's niece Simar Bhatia. The actress will be joining the cast of Ikkis, alongside Agastya Nanda, directed by Sriram Raghavan.
Simar was recently featured on a newspaper cover along with the new talents all set to join the movies.
Akshay Kumar reacted to the same, as he wrote, "I remember the first time I saw my photo on the cover of the newspaper. I thought that was the ultimate happiness. But today I know the happiness of seeing your child's photo here beats everything."
Akshay got a little emotional as he fondly remembered his mother, Sima's grandmother, as his niece embarks on this new journey.
He mentioned, "I wish my mom was here today and she would have said 'Simar puttar, tu tah kamaal hai (Dear, Simmar, you have done wonders).' Bless you, my baby, the sky is yours."
Simar replied back to the same, saying, "That's because you are protecting the skies #SkyForce. Love you."
Simar is Akshay Kumar's sister Alka Bhatia's daughter. Alka, who is a film producer was married to Vaibhav Kapoor. They eventually parted ways.
Alka is now married to Surendra Hiranandani, a real estate tycoon.
