On the special occasion of Akshaya Tritiya, several Bollywood celebrities have dropped posts on social media wishing their fans. Akshaya Tritiya is a Hindu festival that signifies unending prosperity. On the festive day, Amitabh Bachchan shared an image of a prayer room with two idols and wished his fans in Marathi in the caption. Mentioning that the day also marks Parashuram Jayanti and Basaveshwar Jayanti, an excerpt from Amitabh Bachchan's caption translates to, "Happy Akshaya Tritiya to you and all your family members.” Fans of the actor flooded the comments section, wishing the legend and the Bachchan family.
Actress Madhuri Dixit dropped an image of herself in a shimmery lehenga and wrote, “Wish you a very Happy #AkshayaTritiya. May this auspicious occasion bring you all immense prosperity.”
Akshay Kumar also shared a tweet on the occasion and said, “Aap sabhi ko Bhagavan Parashuraam Jayanti aur Akshay Tritiya ki dher saaree shubhkaamnaein (Hearty wishes on the occasion of Parashuraam Jayanti and Akshay Tritiya). May all your endeavours be met with success on this auspicious day.”
Akshay Kumar's wife, Twinkle Khanna shared a picture of herself on Instagram and wrote, “A double dhamaka as we celebrate Eid and Akshaya Tritiya on the same day. Wishing all of you love, light and laughter always.”

This year, Akshaya Tritiya coincides with the Islamic festival Eid, also known as Meethi Eid.
