Veteran actor Al Pacino is in talks to play a washed-up musician in Dan Fogelman's directorial debut titled Imagine.
The 71-year old actor will play the role of an aging rocker who receives a lost letter from Beatles legend John Lennon in the movie, reported Contactmusic.
The movie marks the entry of 'Cars' screenwriter Dan Fogelman as a director.
In the film, a father (played by Al Pacino) decides to reconcile with his estranged son after learning all about a fan letter from Lennon which got lost in the post.
Steve Carell was originally billed to play Pacino's son in the movie, but he had to quit the project due to scheduling conflicts.
