Alec Baldwin has revealed that heturned down a villainous role in a Marvel superhero moviebecause his wife is due to give birth.
The 30 Rock actor did not mention the movie he wasoffered, reported Contactmusic.
"I have been offered a role in a superhero movie, but Iwon't mention which one. I don't want to undo somebody becausethey hired someone else to do it. But they asked me to play avillain in one of these Marvel Comics movies.
"I wasn't available. They wanted me to work a certaintime, and because of my wife's pregnancy, I had to turn downtwo films this summer that I wanted to do," he said.
While Baldwin is reluctant to name the role he declined,it's possible the actor was approached for James Gunns'intergalactic movie, Guardians of the Galaxy, which iscurrently being filmed in England.
Baldwin will next be seen starring alongsideOscar-winning actress Cate Blanchett in Woody Allen'scritically acclaimed drama, Blue Jasmine.
