Actress Alia Bhatt, who plays a Tamilian girl in 2 States, is not just trying to pick the accent but is also learning the typical household culture of a Tamil home.
She is going out of her way to fit the bill as a Tamil Iyengar girl for the movie, based on Chetan Bagat's novel 2 States: The Story of My Marriage. The story is about a Punjabi boy who falls in love with a Tamil girl and the ensuing cultural clashes between them and their families.
A source close to Alia, who is the daughter of filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt, reveals, "She is learning the Tamil culture and tradition. She has also hired a special Tamilian teacher who will help her to adapt the south Indian culture."
