New Delhi:
Filmmaker Ayan Mukerji has the magic touch when it comes to bringing out the best in Ranbir Kapoor, be it his breakthrough role in Wake Up Sid or the blockbuster Yeh Jawaani Hai Deewan. It seems, however, that Ayan's next which is tentatively titled Dragon isn't just going to give an edge to Ranbir's character but his co-star Alia Bhatt as well.
If a report published in Deccan Chronicle is to be believed, the film which was earlier reported to have Ranbir play a superhero (or a person with superhuman powers) will have Alia don the superheroine's cape as well.
From what's being rumoured, Ranbir will have the ability to throw or create fire from his hands. As per the report, Alia's superhuman power is yet undisclosed. Additionally, more characters in the film may also have varied abilities, a source told Deccan Chronicle.
Apparently, Ayan had been toying with many ideas while writing the film, and the developments he had in mind for the pair are reaching fruition. What's more is that this will be the first time that either will play a character with super-human ability.
Dragon will get its final title in the weeks to come, and will go on floors next year. Amitabh Bachchan has been roped in for a pivotal role in the film, which is slated for a late 2017 release.
Meanwhile, Ranbir is awaiting the release of Karan Johar's Ae Dil Hai Mushkil and Alia is working on Badrinath Ki Dulhania opposite Varun Dhawan, both under the Dharma Productions banner, which will release Dragon as well.
