Actress Alia Bhatt has finally tested negative for COVID-19, which she had contracted earlier this month. The actress, on Wednesday, posted a photo of herself smiling with all her heart for the camera and wrote: "The only time being negative is a good thing." Alia Bhatt looks radiant in a blue sweatshirt and peach pyjamas. Her no make-up looks left her fans in awe. In the comments section of the actress' post, her fans expressed their happiness with comments like "you're the strongest" and "the best news of the day." Alia Bhatt had shared her COVID-19 diagnosis on April 1 but more on that later.

Alia Bhatt was filming Gangubai Kathiawadi with director Sanjay Leela Bhansali and Brahmastra with boyfriend, actor Ranbir Kapoor, before the duo contracted COVID-19 last month. They have recovered from the coronavirus now. Just days after Ranbir Kapoor was diagnosed with coronavirus, Alia had shared a statement about her negative test report on her Instagram story on March 11: "I have been reading all your messages of concern and care. I have tested negative for COVID-19 and after isolating and speaking with my doctors, I am back to work from today. Thank you for all your good wishes. I am taking care and staying safe. You please do the same."

Earlier this month, Alia Bhatt revealed that she tested positive for the coronavirus and issued a statement that read: "Hello all, I have tested positive for COVID-19. I have immediately isolated myself and will be under home quarantine. I am following all safety protocols under the advice of my doctors."

The actress kept her fans informed about her health updates with several posts on her Instagram profile. Posting a photo of herself with a soft toy, she wrote: "one day at a time" on April 5.

Just a couple of days ago, another post from Alia Bhatt read: "Dreamers never wake up."

Alia Bhatt is the daughter of Soni Razdan and filmmaker Mahesh Bhatt.

In terms of work, Alia Bhatt, who was last seen in her father's project Sadak 2, has many films lined up. She will next be seen in Ayan Mukerji's Brahmastra with boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan and Nagarjuna Akkineni, in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Gangubai Kathiawadi and in SS Rajamouli's RRR.
