Actor David Canary, who starred in popular television series All My Children and One Life to Live has died. He was 77.
He died a natural death on November 16 at an assisted living home in Wilton, Connecticut, as reported in an obituary by the actor's family.
Mr Canary began his acting career in theatre in New York before working in television and films. His first role in a soap opera was that of a physical therapist in Peyton Place.
In the 1980s, he began his journey with All My Children, with which he had achieved 16 Emmy nominations and won five Emmy Awards in the Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series category for his dual roles as Stuart and Adam.
Mr Canary was married to Maureen for 33 years with whom he also had a son, Christopher, and a daughter, Kathryn.
Mr Canary's former co-actress Kelly Ripa, who played his daughter in All My Children, bid a final farewell to the actor on Twitter.
