Sonakshi Sinha at the Ganpati Visarjan celebrations at Salman Khan's residence
New Delhi:
Out of Salman Khan's camp? Not a chance. Sonakshi Sinha, Salman protege and star of blockbuster film Dabangg, was in top form at Ganesh Visarjan celebrations at the Khan residence yesterday.
There was no evidence of animosity between her and her mentor, at least none that the cameras captured. Sonakshi's presence may serve to end reports that she had been ousted from Tiger's camp.
Sonakshi was reported to have found herself on the receiving end of Salman's wrath after being a little too outspoken about Dabangg 2 plans. Her absence from Eid and other celebrations at the Khan residence was remarked on, fueling rumours that she had been dropped by Salman.
In sharp contrast, Ishaqzaade star Arjun Kapoor, Salman's other protege, was very much in evidence at the events.
Sonakshi Sinha, who made her debut as village belle Rajjo in Dabangg, credits Salman with encouraging her to become an actress and shedding extra kilos to do so.
She will also appear opposite her mentor in Dabangg 2, being directed by Salman's brother Arbaaz Khan.
