Mumbai: Bollywood actress Amita Pathak, who stars in a romantic video Dil Ki Zubaan with singer-composer Raghav Sachar, has brushed aside rumours of their affair.
"Its been around four years that I am hearing reports of our alleged affair. We are just friends. People just keep talking about it and now all this does not matter to me much. We have stopped bothering about our link-up," Amita, daughter of producer Kumar Mangat, told PTI.
According to the grapevine, the composer-cum-singer was offered the main lead in 'Haal-E-Dil' (2008) opposite Amita which he refused but agreed to compose a sound track for the film.
Thats how the two met her and eventually ended up dating each other. But the actress says she was always interested in doing a music album.
"I was always keen on doing a music video. I loved Adnan Sami's album with Rani Mukherjee and since then I had told Raghav about my interest. I heard one of the songs of this album, liked it and agreed to be a part of it," she said.
When asked how the video happened, Raghav said, "post Commonwealth Games (CWG), I was waiting at the airport for the flight which was delayed and there was no proper information about its re-scheduled departure time. While waiting at the airport the lyrics were penned and a basic melody was composed."
The video, shot in Goa and Lavasa, was scheduled to release on Valentine's Day but it was advanced to February 1 as both Raghav and Amita wanted the song to reach the hearts of youngsters before the V-Day.
"This video was unplanned and sudden," Raghav said.
