Mr Bachchan and Abhishek have worked together in Paa and Bunty Aur Babli
New Delhi:
Megastar Amitabh Bachchan, who played Jai of the Jai-Veeru duo in the iconic film Sholay, said that he shares that special camaraderie with his son Abhishek.
In an email interview with IANS, Big B said: "My Veeru in real life is my son Abhishek."
It does not come as a surprise because apart from being a doting father, the 72-year-old actor also shares his love for football and gadgets with his son.
Mr Bachchan and Abhishek's chemistry and ability, to work together as a team has also translated on screen in films like Bunty Aur Babli and Paa. (Also Read: Abhishek Bachchan on Amitabh Bachchan: Dad is Like My Buddy )
Moreover, it was an emotional experience for Big B to recall the memories of Sholay, an iconic Bollywood film which was directed by Ramesh Sippy. It featured Dharmendra, Hema Malini, Jaya Bhaduri, Sanjeev Kumar and Amjad Khan.
Another interesting point which can be noted is that Dharmendra got married to Hemaji, while Big B had exchanged vows with Jaya Bhaduri, only months before the film's shooting commenced.
"Artists involved in a project, work with the intent of delivering what has been asked of them, and that to me is special," Big B added.
