Amitabh Bachchan: Deven Verma Brought Smiles to a Million Faces

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan has paid an ode to "friend" and late filmmaker Deven Verma.

Mr Verma died at the age of 77 in Pune early Tuesday following a heart attack and kidney failure.

Mr Bachchan wrote on Twitter

The duo worked in films like Kabhi Kabhie and Silsila. He also directed Big B in Besharam, which released in late 1970s.

Amitabh Bachchan is currently "out on the highways of Gujarat" for Shoojit Sircar's upcoming film Piku.
