Megastar Amitabh Bachchan is ecstatic after his Gujarati production venture Saptapadii opened to rave reviews and is enjoying a successfull run in theatres in second week.
Directed by Niranjan Thade, the film's story, jointly written by Gujarati poet and writer Chandrakant Shah and Kajal Oza Vaidya, revolves around a couple whose life changes after a child, who lost his parents in a terror attack, comes into their lives.

"AB Corp. produced Gujarati film Saptapadii now running successfully in Gujarat and Mumbai in second week. Mumbai seeks to increase the number of screens! The film has received special mention for the Green Rose at the Jaipur Film Festival," Amitabh Bachchan wrote on his Facebook page.
Amitabh Bachchan wrote that everyone who has seen the film has enjoyed it.
"Being talked of as the 'turning point' in Gujarati Cinema. Go and see it!! It will give huge boost for the Gujarati film industry," he added.
AB Corp.'s move into regional cinema seems to be yielding favourable results. Earlier, their Marathi film Vihir too won accolades.
"AB Corp. has been actively involved in producing and promoting regional cinema. Our film Vihir in Marathi won several awards of recognition across the globe at various festivals," Amitabh wrote.
