
Amitabh Bachchan revealed that he was rejected by many filmmakers for being so tall.

Megastar Amitabh Bachchan says hedoes not like India being called a developing nation.
"I feel proud of the fact that those very things thatIndia was once criticised for, like our growth of population,etc is now looked upon by developed nations for great consumerconsumption. It goes well. I hate India being called as adeveloping nation. I want it to be known as a developednation. I think we are moving forward in that direction,"Bachchan said.
"I don't believe in goals. I hope there is someopportunity and challenge that the future directors will offerme. Each decade is providing great expansion in our medium ofmedia and entertainment. Like the growth of television,growing mobile penetration," he said.
The legendary actor further said, "In our business offilms we are judged by people like you. Audiences makeus, their taste changes. They decide what kind of films andactors they like to watch. It is important to be in tunewith the audience. The most difficult task in our business isto know what they are going to like and dislike," he said.
"If we are able to judge how the audience willappreciate a particular kind of film, then we will make thosekind of films. But we don't know what will work how and when.Corporate have research department, but in film businessaudience taste and thinking keeps changing," he added.
He reveals when he entered the filmdom, the industrypeople rejected him for being so tall saying no heroine wouldwork with him. Considering that his father Harivansh Rai hadalready established himself as poet, they said he should dosomething like that and not think of acting.
"One should remember all these things (criticising)encourage you to go out and do better. All those who said noto me (for films), I eventually worked with them in all theirfilms," he added.
