Big B and Farhan Akhtar record Attrangi Yaari from Wazir in Mumbai on December 13
Mumbai:
Producer Vidhu Vinod Chopra is a happy man. He has found the song that would describe the relationship which actors Amitabh Bachchan and Farhan Akhtar's characters share in the Bijoy Nambiar-directed Wazir.(Also Read: Why Wazir was delayed)
"I went through 200 songs but couldn't find the one that explained the relationship between the two characters like Rochak Kohli's Attrangi Yaari does. I had given up on finding the song but then I came across this one," said Mr Chopra.
The 3 Idiots producer was so 'kicked' by the number that he decided to pull Amitabh Bachchan out mid-way through his Te3N shoot in Kolkata.
Big B and Farhan, two actors who have been rather successful when it comes to singing for their films, will be lending their respective voices to the song.
"This producer (points at Vidhu Vinod Chopra) keeps doing something or the other, I am currently shooting in Kolkata, Vidhu called me at night and said, 'this is the song, you have to sing it, and shoot for it as well.' He doesn't care that someone else's film is being shot. So here I am because I can't say no to Vidhu," said Mr Bachchan.
Wazir will release on January 8 and is the first big release of 2016. No wonder Mr Chopra is doing all he can to make sure the film attracts people to the ticket counters.
