New Delhi:
Filmmaker R Balki, who directed Amitabh Bachchan in films like Paa, Cheeni Kum and Shamitabh, said that the actor is a lucky charm for the Hindi film industry.
"Amitabh Bachchan is Bollywood's lucky charm, not for me. He is the lucky charm for the whole industry. Thank God, he is there that our industry has an identity. He has given this industry an identity," Mr Balki told IANS.
Mr Balki said that he finds it "fortunate to be living in the same era" as Big B.
The filmmaker is currently looking forward to his new film Ki And Ka, which features the actor and his wife Jaya in a cameo.
Mr Balki is elated that Mr Bachchan did Ki And Ka, which is slated to hit the screens on April 1.
"I am so glad that he has gone out of his way to do this Ki And Ka role for me," he added.
Would Mr Balki cast the 73-year-old actor for his new projects?
"I would love to have him in all my future projects provided the film is correct for him and I could do justice to him. Just because you love somebody, you can't destroy that person by doing something wrong. You just have to do better for him," added Mr Balki.
