Amitabh Bachchan will portray the role of a social activist in Satyagraha
New Delhi:
Amitabh Bachchan who played a teacher in Prakash Jha's 2011 film, Aarakshan, is now set to portray the role of a social activist in the director's next movie, Satyagraha. And with rumours rife about Big B's character being heavily inspired by Anna Hazare, reports suggest that the actor will soon have a meeting with Prakash Jha to finalise his look in the film.
According to a report in Hindustan Times newspaper, a source close to the film said, "The role is heavily inspired by social activist Anna Hazare. Amitabh plays a man who is fighting corruption. At this meeting, the two will discuss the physical appearance of the character. They are yet to finalise whether they will go ahead with the way Anna dresses in real life -- in a white kurta-pyjama, with a white topi (cap) and a beard (while he was fasting at the Ram Leela maidan last year). They want to figure out if they should keep it close to reality or not."
Amitabh Bachchan has always been open to adopting the right look according to the demands of the character. The big question now is will Mr Bachchan part with his beard, which he has been sporting for more than a decade now, to look the part?
