Actress-philanthropist Angelina Jolie visited refugeesat the Jordan border recently.
The 38-year-old actress, who had undergone doublemastectomy earlier this year, was photographed crouching down whilelistening to firsthand accounts from refugees and taking notes, reportedUs magazine.
She posted the purpose of her visit on the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees' website.
"To show support for Syria's refugees, to call on theworld to address their plight, and to better understand needsin Jordan and other countries in the region most directlyaffected by this devastating conflict.
"The international response to this crisis falls short ofthe vast scale of this human tragedy. Much more humanitarianaid is needed, and above all, a political settlement to thisconflict must be found," the website read.
Jolie traveled solo on the trip, as her fiance Brad Pitt isbusy promoting his new film World War Z.
