A rare video that appears to show Hollywood actress Angelina Jolie in acting class 15 years ago has made its way to YouTube and is causing somewhat of a traffic jam online. The video reportedly dates from 2000, which would mean that Angelina was 25 and already an acclaimed actress for her performances in Hackers and Gia. Her film Girl, Interrupted released in 1999 and she won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actress in 2000, right around when this video is said to have been recorded. The character she plays here is dark, very dark:
There is no official confirmation that the footage above is indeed from an acting class or was filmed in 2000. Angelina attended the Lee Strasberg Institute to study acting as a teen and later took night classes at New York University to study directing and screenwriting after completing 1998's Gia.
Now 40, Angelina Jolie is something of a force of nature. She is one half of a Hollywood power couple with actor Brad Pitt, together they have six children, her last film Maleficent was a major blockbuster, she directed her second film Unbroken last year, and dedicates much of her time to welfare and humanitarian work as an ambassador for the United Nations.
