Los Angeles:
Angelina Jolie's father is thrilled about her engagement to Brad Pitt.
The Hollywood couple - who raise six children together Maddox, 10, Pax, eight, Zahara, seven, Shiloh, five, and Knox and Vivienne, three, together - confirmed today (13.04.12) that Brad has popped the question to his partner of seven years and Angelina's father Jon Voight couldn't be happier for the pair.
He told US Weekly: "I'm very happy for them."
Brad and Angelina's engagement comes after it was revealed the pair may be about to work together for the first time since meeting on the set of Mr & Mrs Smith.
Brad is in negotiations for a part in the Sir Ridley Scott-directed project, The Counsellor with Angelina previously linked to a small role.
Filming is set to begin in the summer in Europe, and it would be a rare foray into the world of work for both Brad and Angelina, who rarely film movies at the same time.
Commenting on the possibility of them working together again, Brad said last year: "We're not ones to repeat ourselves, but we'd like to, because right now, we're hopscotching with films so one can be with the kids and one is free to work."
