Anil Kapoor was so impressed by Ranveer Singh's performance in Bajirao Mastani that he compared his act to Hollywood actor Russell Crowe's in Oscar-winning film Gladiator.

Ranveer, who has worked with Mr Kapoor in Zoya Akhtar's Dil Dhadakne Do, thanked his the 24 star for his kind words.
Gladiator, an epic historical drama, starred Mr Crowe, Joaquin Phoenix, Connie Nielsen, Ralf M ller, Oliver Reed and Djimon Hounsou in prominent roles. The 2000 film was directed by Ridley Scott.
