Hollywood beauty Anne Hathawaysays that she used to be a trusting person but the heartbreakcaused by her ex-boyfriend, who turned out to be a conman, haschanged her.
The 27-year-old actress opens up about the ordeal inthe November issue of Vogue magazine, which sees herchanelling her icon Audrey Hepburn in a photoshoot.Asked to name her "deal-breakers" with men, Hathawayreplied, "Uh ... fraud?".
Her partner of six years, Raffaello Follieri pleadedguilty to cheating investors out of millions of dollars byfalsely claiming he had Vatican connections that enabled himto buy church property at a discount. He was sentenced to 5years in prison in 2008.
Jewellery that Follieri gave Hathaway was recentlyauctioned off by US marshals.
All joking aside, the actress admits the relationshiptook its toll.
The experience taught her to be "more wary," she said. "I hate talking about the breakup, because I dontwant it to define me. But as is to be expected, there were alot of lingering trust issues," she said.
"It takes a minute for me to let my guard down, butonce I do and I get to know someone, I'm very open, verytrusting. Some might say too trusting," said the Academy awardnominated actress.
