Mumbai: Yash Raj Films studio hosted a special screening of Zoya Akhtar's forthcoming family drama Dil Dhadakne Do, with celebrities like Deepika Padukone, Kanagana Ranaut, Priyanka Chopra, Preity Zinta, among others in attendance.
Many known faces from Bollywood, including actors, actress, directors and producers, attended the special screening. Actor Imran Khan came with his wife Avantika; Dia Mirza and Sahil Sangha car pooled with Rahul Bose, while Shefali Shah attended the screening with her filmmaker-husband Vipul Shah.
While Ashutosh Gowarikar and Kunal Kapoor came with their wives Sunita and Avantika respectively, Chunkey Pandey came minus his plus one.
On the director's couch were Reema Kagti, Divya Khosla Kumar, Madhur Bhandarkar and Vidhu Vinod Chopra.
From the family zone were Dil Dhadakne Do director Zoya Akhtar and her lyricist-writer father Javed Akhtar.
Everyone appreciated the movie and its concept, but Actress Nafisa Ali, who also attended the screening, was the only one who couldn't hold her excitement. She literally jumped out of her car window and said, "Two thumbs up. It is a very good movie. It will do very good business."
The film, which stars Farhan Akhtar, Anil Kapoor, Ranveer Singh, Priyanka Chopra, Anushka Sharma and Shefali Shah, is about a dysfunctional Punjabi family and how they discover love and friendship during a cruise across the Mediterranean. Dil Dhadanke Do will hit the screens on June 5.
