The Bombay Velvet director is also in the middle of a divorce from actress Kalki Koechlin.
New Delhi:
Filmmaker Anurag Kashyap may be having the time of his professional life with Bombay Velvet coming up, but he is also currently nursing a broken heart.
Recently, Anurag confirmed to mid-day.com that his relationship with assistant director Sabrina Khan had ended and also placed the blame on the media and the film industry at large.
Anurag was quoted as saying, "The industry stopped treating her on merit and started to look at her as my girlfriend. It bothered her. She loves her job so decided to end it. Hope that ends your morbid curiosity about other people's personal lives and you media s***theads won't destroy any more relationships."
Ouch.
Meanwhile, Anurag's estranged wife, actress Kalki Koechlin, recently confirmed that the couple are waiting for a court to finalise their divorce. (Also Read: The End. Kalki Koechlin Confirms She and Anurag Have Applied For Divorce)
Anurag has Bombay Velvet to look forward to - starring Ranbir Kapoor, Anushka Sharma and Karan Johar, the film releases on May 15 and expectations are high.
