Ranveer and Deepika have earlier been spotted going for secret dinners and movie nights.
New Delhi:
Ever since Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh started shooting for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's film Ram Leela, the tabloids are abuzz with stories of the two actors being romantically involved, be it secret dinners or movie nights. And the latest to do the rounds is how Deepika and Ranveer were seen clubbing together in Dubai.
According to a Times Of India report, Ranveer Singh flew to Dubai to be with Deepika, who was there promoting her upcoming film Race 2, and the two spent time shopping and later were spotted dancing at a nightclub.
Ranveer said in a written statement to the newspaper, "I had a couple of days off between Ram Leela and Gunday, so I decided to go to Dubai for the shopping festival. Several of my college friends are also based in Dubai. The Race 2 team was also there so we all went clubbing together and had a good time."
So is it love or just camaraderie that one saw in Dubai? However, it's a trick that hasn't worked so well in the past. Ranveer Singh's rumoured link-up with Anushka Sharma did little for Ladies Vs Ricky Behl, while Deepika's relationship status with Ranbir Kapoor was hardly a crowd puller for Bachna Ae Haseeno.
Perhaps they'd do well to heed Saif Ali Khan's words. The Nawab of Pataudi told NDTV that the more comfortable a couple are in real life, the more "terrible" they are to watch on film.
Thus, we can only hope that this is not the case for the Ram Leela co-stars.
