Mumbai: Actor Arjun Kapoor, who will next be seen sharing screen space with veterans like Naseeruddin Shah, Pankaj Kapur and Dimple Kapadia in Finding Fanny, says he learnt a lot on the sets. (Also read: Finding Fanny Trailer Finds Over Million Views, Makers Happy)
Directed by Homi Adajania and set in Goa, the movie also stars actress Deepika Padukone.
"I am a new actor, so for me, working with these actors was a dream come true. I always used to tell Homi that this film is like an acting class for me," the actor told reporters Thursday on the sets of Disney's chat show Captain Tiao in Mumbai.
"I observed and noticed how veteran actors treat their work. Perhaps their experience will reflect in my work as well. It was great working with them all," he added.
Shot in English, Finding Fanny was an opportunity Arjun wanted to grab with both hands, though he was skeptical initially.
"Initially, I thought it would be difficult. But an actor should grab every opportunity of doing different things. So, I took a chance. As far as the reaction to the trailer is concerned, people think I can speak English also fluently. However, I am still learning to act properly in Hindi. It was a new chance for me and I didn't want to lose it," said Arjun.
The movie is slated to be released on September 12.
