Actor Arjun Rampal and his wife Mehr Jessia may have to skip close friend Karan Johar's 40th mega birthday party on May 25, which is being held at a suburban hotel becuase of their Cannes committment.
The stylish couple is walking the red carpet at the Cannes Film Festival and will have to be in the French city on May 25.
Moreover, the star is shooting at Pachmarhi and Bhopal for a film and is slated to be back in Mumbai just in time to leave for Cannes.
"Yes, it is going to be a tight schedule for me. But then work is work. I will be arriving in Mumbai just a day before we leave for Cannes. If time proves a constraint, I will drop in to meet Karan, wish him and then leave. If things permit I may be there for a short while," said Arjun Rampal.
Arjun, who represents Chivas, will be attending the festival on their behalf. Wife Mehr will accompany him on the red carpet. "I have been to the Cannes film festival before but this is the first time I am walking the red carpet," adds Arjun.
At Cannes, Arjun Rampal will be seen in a princely outfit by designer friend Rohit Bal. Mehr will be wearing a Tarun Tahiliani outfit. "Mehr is an old-time Tarun loyalist so she can't think of wearing anything else," says Arjun.
