New Delhi: Arjun Rampal, who visited a DUcollege here today to promote his upcoming film Chakravyuh,was mobbed by crazy fans who tore off the Bollywood star'sshirt as he was taking a tour of the campus in an open jeep.

The film's starcast, also including Abhay Deol, ManojBajpayee, Esha Gupta, Anjali Patel and director Prakash Jha,found themselves in the midst of a fan frenzy generated byArjun each time he visits his alma mater Hindu college.

Despite 30 security personnel being deployed,over-enthusiastic students found their way to the 39-year-oldactor, who, dressed as a cop, was taking a round on the bonnetof a police jeep.

"What are you guys doing? Leave me! Everytime when I cometo this college I return with my shirt torn. You guys alwaysincrease my laundry and tailor bill," Rampal, who had studiedEconomics at Hindu College, said in jest.

The crew, who turned up for the event after a delay oftwo and half hours, danced to the tune of controversial songMehangai.

Bajpayee, who plays a Naxalite, chose to recite somedialogues from the film. He took the microphone by shoutingLal Salaam and later recited his famous Gangs of Wasseypurdialogue Sardar Khan Nam Hai Mera.

Abhay was heard repenting the fact that he did not studyat Delhi University."What a turn up! What a nice crowd! Unfortunately, I didmy studies from Mumbai and missed out all these fun. But Ishot some of my initial films like Dev D and Oye LuckyLucky Oye here," the 36 year-old actor said.

Chakravyuh, which had its premiere at the recentlyconcluded London Film Festival, is a social commentary on theNaxal issue. The film will hit theatres on October 24.
